helloo! ^^

today's haze much MUCH better. haha! that's great! xD felt much better. though i really pity those primary sch kids who have to go through psle with the haze.. =X

saw the movie "world trade centre" today. it's really touching. everyone in Singapore must must must! go see. the whole storyline's about the 911 attack, mostly bout this two city police who went into the buildings to try and evacuate people. however, even before rescuing anybody, the second plane crashes into the 2nd building and both towers collapsed. they chiong for the lift, end up pinned down by the fallen concrete and pipes, but still alive. there's another guy with they both, but killed himself with his own gun, cause he can't stand the pain. soo wil and john, they were encouraging each other to stay awake, cause if they fall asleep, they won't know when they'll be waking up (if they did wake up at all). this wil guy, he's quite cutee, and i guess the whole movie is not as sad as it'll be with him there. they hanged on, yelling at each other to stay awake and stuff, and recalling what they've promised their family members and loved ones. i guess, the basic point/message they're carrying across is to treasure your loved ones. i was like crying the whole way through.. when i thought i'd finally dried my tears, the next part of the story makes me cry again. ='(

i also realise another ting. although the whites, they can be more violent/evil/cruel than us, they're also capable of goodness that we Singaporeans do not possess. i mean, when the sergant asked for people to go into the buildings to help evacuate people, they volunteered. if this really happens in Singapore, i doubt much will raise their hands willingly. kayy, see? the worse hit we've had is the fall of the nicole highway. we've not gone through those pain that others have gone through. we've not experience the desperate-ness to have water, air, even painkillers. we whine at every small lil thing. we lived in comfort zone, not daring to venture out. we care for ourselves. when anything happens, will we stand as a country, or will we stand as individuals, or worse, pledge loyalty to others?

in this movie, i saw the real shot of the tower collapsing. the buildings looked as if it was made of flour, it just sort of crumbles down, very fast. i can't imagine anyone capable of doing anything that evil. it was sheer horror, if you're in that building. one second you're alive, the other dead. now i understand why americans are that united. they're binded as one with their painful experience. for Singaproe, people gradually forget about the jap occupation. of course, those who'd lived past the war are mostly gone to a better place. the younger generation obtain fact, hard and cold, from texts. i guess, the meaning is different. (not that i want another war to know the pain, of course!)

this also made me more serious in the thought of becoming a child doc. name starts with a "P", but i forgot the rest, soo. =P i mean, how can we look on while others suffer? ookay, this may only be on the spur of the moment, yeah yeah (those who knows me well =P), but at lest this shows i have.. compassion? i know i know.. i'm TERRIFIED of needles. my pri sch classmates might know this.. =X i needa overcome lotsa stuff if i wanna be in the medical job. haii.

another thing happened that made me wanna become a child doc. on the way back, the cab driver, 52 years old, told us that he has a child who is "special", if you know what i mean. awh man. it's really sad. Singapore really needs people who can patiently tend to them (although i'm not really known for my patience =X). well wel, will think about it more carefully after my O's. =)

what an inspirational day it has been? xD

heh-heh.
